SF Pride March & Burning Man

topic posted Thu, June 7, 2007 - 1:18 AM by  Salamander
I've registered myself as a contingent in the Pride Parade this year as "Rainbow Salamander" . I will be showcasing some of my costumes with some of my friends as well as my little fur covered electric mutant vehicle thats in the shape of a salamander. I'm emphasizing my furry nature. If anyone is interested in being part of my contingent and being in the Pride parade you are welcome to join me. My boy Spunky and I walked in the Parade last year and it was a lot of fun. The best way to reach me is email at rainbow.salamander@yahoo.com.

I'm also creating a Furry themed Camp at Burning Man with a few of my furry and raver friends; called Camp Fluffer. The Camp will be part of Avalon Village. Check out our tribe. I'm curious to know where other Furs at Burning Man are camping. I'd like to host some kind of furry oriented social event. If anyone is interested in camping with us, you're welcome to join us.

    Hey Salamader.

Great that you'll be representin da furs in the pride parade! I wish I could join you, but I am producing the Faerie Freedom Village this year, so my duties that morning will be setting up that area.

I would like to invite you to come to Faerie Village after the parade to hang out. Lots of furs always come to that area, and we always have alot of fun there. Not sure what the size of your mutant vehicle is, but if it's small enough that they'll let you on the sidewalks at the pride festival, you're welcome to bring that with you and park it inside the village as well.

As for burning man, I'm camping with camp Zoom, who was on the Esplenade last year, but this year we requested to not be on the Esplenade, so will see where they place the camp.

I'm also involved with another furry themed event at BM, the Billion Bunny March. Traditionally on Thursday, we get hundreds of people all dressed up in fur. So many that when animal control shows up in force, no one even notices they are there.
